I hope everyone had a very nice holiday season. Ours was quiet but nice, we pups got some nice toys to play with for Christmas! Mom got the week off and it was really great to cuddle with her every morning and than in the evening. In case you didn't see it, here is the Christmas card me mom sent out this year. She did something really special. Mom featured us pets instead of humans. I was really happy that mom did that for us. Here it is and I hope you like it.
I am doing okay these days, I did have a Urinary Tract Infection that the vets caught early on and was on medication for 2 weeks. They now want me tested every 4 months to make sure that I am doing okay. The other pups have had some issues and that is kind of like why I haven't updated me blog in a long time. Between me mom working a lot of hours and than taking the other pups to the vets we haven't had much time to update me blog.
So, what has been up with the other pups. Well, first Freckles hurt her back in the fall, and had to have an MRI done to see if she had a ruptured disk. Fortunately, she did not and it was in the lower part of the spine that was hurt than my injury was. It impacted her hips more than anything. So, she was on medications and is off the couch. Even though she does try to get on it sometimes, but mom has somewhat trained the other humans in the family to keep her off the couch or at least help her get down.
Now for Dipstick and Midget, they seem to be having older dog problems. They thought Dipstick had Cushings Disease but he didn't thank goodness. Midget's liver values were higher than normal so she is on medication for that. Mom finds it hard to believe that they will be 14 years old this year. It scares her also. But, they don't act like they are that old except that Dipstick is hard of hearing (except when it is food time).
Here's a picture of Dipstick and Midget on the couch. Dipstick thinks he owns the neighborhood so he keeps watch for any humans or other dogs walking by our house. Midget, well she is just looking pretty. :-)
Do you see the blue bowl by Midget, well that is my food dish and after every meal Dipstick takes it into the living room and puts it on the couch. He is a very silly big brother!!!
The pups continue to keep me company and we all enjoy being near mom when she is on the computer. . Here is a picture of us keeping mom company:
