Welcome to Blu's New Blog

Hi, My name is Blu and I thought I would try doing some blogging while healing from a back injury.  I am new at this so I hope I do it right.  I am a 6 year old dachshund and I live with 3 other doxie's and 2 cats and of course my human Mom and Dad and their son Chris.  I like to eat and sleep, and until I got hurt chase the cats.  But, a couple of weeks ago I hurt my back, and had to have surgery.  For now, I can't walk but someday I hope to.  I have to take it easy for a while and my mom says she is going to get me a cart with wheels to help me walk and get around the house and also go outside again.  I can chase the cats again also.  HEHE.. Just kidding. That is why I am calling my blog "Blu on Wheels" .

In time, with physical therapy I hope to run again.  But, while I am on this journey to walking and running on my own I hope to post my progress and have pictures also.  Please join me on my journey to walking again.

Here is a couple pictures of me and my family.

t

This picture was taken when I was a puppy.  I am on the far right.  My brother and sisters are from the left Freckles, Midget and Dipstick.

These are pictures of our cats Tux and Blackie.

This is me laying on top of the couch.  One of my favorite place to look outside.

                                                    Mom and me.

Well, that is it for today.  Time to go take a nap.
Happy Weekend Everyone.

Hi Blu! Welcome to blogging! You are doing it just fine. I "lurked" for awhile before I started my blog because I wanted to do it right too. Grrreat pics. I hope you will continue writing even after you are back up in 4 paw drive. Maybe this will get my "secretary" (mom) to post more often.
Love ya cousin,
Skye

We are friends of Skye's and wanted to say Arooo to you. Our Great Uncle Bobby used wheels before he crossed the bridge. (For Sherman, there are three greats there).

We hope you enjoy blogging and find plenty of nice places to sniff.

Hi Blu
Welcome to blogging. I heard about your blog from Maggie and Mitch. I've been blogging for a year and a half since I had a ruptured disk and back surgery. Since then I've met so many great new friends from all over the world.

I have wheels too cuz I still can't walk on my back legs. But my friend Nemo, a miniature poodle, had a ruptured disk and surgery a couple of months ago and he's doing real well with his therapy. He doesn't need wheels like me.

I'm sure you'll be right as rain in no time too. In the meantime, wheels are cool cuz you can get around lots. Nothing much stops me!

Wherever your journey takes you, the best thing is having a loving family and lots of friends. (and walks and treats :o})

See ya,
Sam

Hi Blu, I'm back - Maggie and Mitch and The Thuglets told us about you. I suffered a ruptured disk about a year and a half ago. My mom and dad did surgery but my hind legs have not come back yet. But my mom and dad got me a cart from Eddie's Wheels http://eddieswheels.com/ about six weeks after my surgery and I haven't looked back. I can be just like the other kids and go for walks. Actually I can go so fast that my dad is going at a full run. Hee, hee look at my out of breath dad :). I go for weekly swims, monthly acupuncture and chiropractic treatments and I get daily supplements. My pawrents are poorer but they wouldn't have done anything different. We'll hanging in there with you Blu. If there's anything that you'd like to ask, send an e-mail to mydogsam01@gmail.com or zoom all the way back to the start of my blog and then catch up with me today at http://mydogsam01.blogspot.com/ . We're rooting for you Blu.

Stupid blogger, I wrote my comment and when I came to sign in as ME, Pippa, it lost my comment.

Anyway, hello Blu, good to see you have a blog. I am Pippa, the beautiful Skye's boyfriend.

Skye and M&M are right, those persons responsible for posting our fascinating stuff slacken off after a few years so make sure you make the most of it in the early days.

If you visit my blog - you will need to follow the link to wordpress as I have ditched blogger. Just easier to link from blogger on here.

Oh, and I will help you chase those cats.

Hi,
Whoo Hoo and thank you all for all your supporting comments and joining my Blog. I am doing better and my mom made an appointment to go to Eddie's Wheels on Saturday to be fitted for a cart. I will post something after our visit. I told my mom to take pictures of me getting fitted.
I can't wait to go.
Love, Blu
