My Trip to Eddie's Wheels For Pets

Happy Monday everybody!!!
Sorry that I didn't post anything yesterday, but I was too tired and sore from my trip to Eddie's Wheels to order my cart.  I was so excited about being there that I wore myself out and yesterday I just slept the day away. Of course I sleep most days aways anyways, but yesterday I was also sore.  I better today.
I had a really nice visit to Eddie's Wheels For Pets on Saturday.  It was a long ride, but I slept most of the way.   They even had snow there which was nice to see.  I even got to meet a border collie and a great big collie that were getting their wheels.  I got to watch them getting used to their new carts.  I was so excited and couldn't wait until it was my turn.  Leslie the owner was really nice to me and my mom and Chris.  I stood really still while she took measurements of me.  That made my mom really happy.  Chris took some pictures. Unfortunately, she didn't have a cart for me in stock, so I have to wait 2 weeks to have my very one made.  I wanted it motorized, but my mom said no.  HEHE  I tried.

Here are some pictures of me getting measured for my cart.

That is my mom on the right holding my head while they took my measurements.  I had to be really still so they could make my cart.

Sorry for the skin shot, but that is where I was shaved to have my surgery.  I guess it takes a while for the fur to grow back.  Mom is gonna get me a doggie coat for when we go for walks outside, and boots.

After I got measured, my mom talk to Leslie for a bit about the disc disease I got and how the cart will even help with trying to walk again.  She had a doxie named Daisy that was paralyzed also from the disc disease, and the cart helped her out a lot. She also recommended a supplement for all us doxies to take and to also try acupuncture.  So, we ordered the cart and we have to come back in 2 weeks to get it.  Whoo Hoo, I can't wait!!!!  Just in case you want to visit their website, here it is:  http://eddieswheels.com/

Here are some other pictures from Eddie's Wheels.  I am sure we will have more when we go get my cart.  Maybe even a video!!!!

This is the big room where they make the carts.

So many carts and none that fit me..  Oh well, I get mine custom made just for me.     By the way on top  of the cart in front is a pair of skiis for a cart to use in the snow.  Mom said no to that also, besides the cart being motorized.  :-)

                               I tired, let's go home. Where's my crate, I need a nap.

Well, my friends that is it for today! I hope you enjoyed my story of my trip to get me a cart on wheels.  I also want to thank you for joining my blog and also for all the nice comments you sent me.   They meant a lot to me.  With all your support I know I will get better!

Have a great week everybody!!!!

Hey Blu,
I REALLY like the ski idea! Then you could come to the forest and play in the snow with me! Racing stripes sounds cool too. Sorry mom wouldn't give in on the motorized. Sounds like you had a really interesting day there. The two weeks will be over before you know it! My mom goes for acupuncture and supplements are also good. Can't wait for your next post!
Love,
Skye

Hi Blu, you'll be fine. One day at a time. I take daily supplements too (Standard Process Neuroplex and Neurotrophin PMG). My dad stuffs one pill each into a Pill Pocket and I gulp them down. I also receive acupuncture once a month as well and I go swimming every week. My friend Gail, who is a real vet, also comes by once a month to do chiropractic work on me and my brothers and sister. But as I said, one day at a time. There will be a lot of new things for you and your peoples to learn but it won't be bad, just a little different.

Hello Blu
Those two weeks will fly by and then you will be whizzing around so fast. Even Skye won't be able to catch you. Pleased it is getting sorted quickly for you and hope it helps to get you back on all four paws in the end.

Hi Blu,
I'm so sorry to hear about you having to have back surgery. My name is Lily and I had surgery in Sept. I ruptured disc's in my neck. Today I am 100% better. I'm so happy that your Mommy decided to start blogging. My Mommy started our blog when I was sick. She said it's great therapy for her. (She still sat and cried every day for like 10 weeks tho.) I'm thrilled that you are getting a set of wheels! You're gonna do great with them I just know it. We can't wait to see them when you pick them up. Until then, happy blogging and please get well real soon.

Hugs,
Lily Belle
